What Does The Qualification Cover?
Our Customer Service Apprenticeship provides learners with the skills needed for a wide range of customer-facing roles. The Apprenticeship will allow learners to develop their understanding of the principles that underpin working in a customer service role including understanding customers and employers. Furthermore it provides the opportunity for learners to enhance softer-skills development in areas such as communication, resolving problems, analysing feedback and introduces emerging trends such as using social media to deliver customer service and real-time online customer service support.
Is This Apprenticeship Right for Me?
This Level 2 Apprenticeship will suit you if you have some experience in customer service and are able to handle more difficult customers. You are looking to improve your own skills and become more involved in making improvements to your team's level of customer service. The course is suitable for those looking to progress in to a wide range of sectors including retail, financial services, hospitality, sport and recreation, telecommunications and travel and tourism.
What Does The Course Comprise?
The Apprenticeship at level 2 comprises:
- Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service
- Functional Skills
How Many Credits Are Required To Complete Them?
The course is made up of a number of Mandatory units supplemented by Optional units. Learners earn credits for each unit enabling them to meet the required number of credits to complete the course candidates have to complete a minimum of 45 credits. Units include delivering customer service, understanding customers, principles of customer service, understand employer organisations, manage personal performance and development.
How long will the course take to achieve?
The level 3 qualification will take around 12-14 months to complete.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment will take place by regular observation in the workplace, portfolio building of assignments, observation of work based activities and written case studies

These qualifications can help you get ahead in almost any industry, as good customer-service skills are essential for many jobs. Potential job roles for those working towards this this qualification are: Customer Service Advisor, Help Desk Operative, Sales Administrator, Security Officer and many more.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements, but candidates should be educated to level 1, must be working in the field and must be working over 30 hours per week. All candidates will need to undertake a literacy & numeracy assessment prior to starting the apprenticeship training.
